Malmon currently employs a number of key technical and support staff to complement the delivery needs of our current and potential clients. This team of dedicated individuals is made up of registered civil engineering professionals, graduates and students to complement our core competencies. Support staff involved with internal services such as administration, human resources, finance and procurement help the company to ensure efficient services to our clients.
Project Leadership
Ramatlhodi Joseph Ramalope: Pr Tech Eng, Pr CPM, B-Tech Eng (Civil), BSc (Hons), MSc (MTM), MIPET, MSAICE
Joseph Ramalope is the founder and sole Managing Member of Malmon Developments. He holds a B Tech Degree in Civil Engineering as well as Master of Science (MSc Eng) in Technology Management. He is registered as a professional engineering technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). He is also a member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers (SAICE) as well as the Institute for Professional Engineering Technologists (IPET). He has 15 years’ experience in design and construction of civil engineering infrastructure having worked for both Construction and Consulting Civil Engineering companies within and outside the borders of South Africa. He has also secured professional registration as a South African Construction Project Management Professional (SACPMP) with the South African Council of Project and Construction Management Professionals.
Joseph Ramalope fulfils the role of sole director and project leader overseeing the execution of all construction and project management projects in our portfolio.
Project Management
Riaan Fourie: B Eng (Civil)
Riaan Fourie joined Malmon Developments in 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering obtained from the University of Johannesburg in 2010 and has accumulated over 8 years’ experience in design and construction of Civil Engineering infrastructure. He is currently registered as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Riaan fulfills the role of project manager and oversees a range of private and public works projects. He specializes in project management, project administration, contract documentation and contract management.
Pretesh Dayal: B Tech (Struct. Eng.), B Tech (Constr. Man.)
Pretesh Dayal joined Malmon Developments in 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s of Technology Degree in Structural Engineering and Construction Management obtained from the University of Johannesburg in 2011 and 2015 respectively and has accumulated over 6 years’ experience predominantly within the construction and project management of Civil Engineering infrastructure and Township Developments. He is currently registered as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Pretesh fulfills the role of Projects Engineer and oversees a range of private and public works projects. He specializes in project management, project administration, contract documentation and contract management.
Zamadumbe Mhlanga: BSc (Hons) Civil
Zamadumbe Mhlanga joined Malmon Developments in 2019. She holds a Bachelors of Sciences Degree (Hons) from the Wits University (2015) while enrolled for a Masters in Engineering Management with the University of Johannesburg (2019 – 2020).Zama has 4 years of experience in the Construction Industry mainly dealing with roads, infrastructure, earthworks and now project management. Zama is registered as a candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
She fulfils the role of a Project Manager within Malmon and oversees a range of private and public works projects. She specializes in project management, project administration and contract management.
Construction Monitoring
Sihle Dhladhla: N Dip Eng (Civil)
Sihle Dhladhla holds a national diploma in civil engineering obtained from the Vaal University of Technology.
Sihle joined the Malmon Developments team in 2018 as a junior resident engineer. Sihle oversees the implementation of numerous construction projects where he fulfils the role of the Site Engineer on site.
Engineering Design
Sharon Baise: B Eng (Civil)
Sharon joined Malmon Developments in 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, having qualified in 2013. She has more than 3 years’ experience in Wet Services design, including sewer and water reticulation design, and over 1 years’ experience in Civil Engineering infrastructure. She is currently registered as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Sharon fulfils the role of an engineer and facilitates the design of civil engineering infrastructure from concept phase to construction phase. She specializes in the design of sewer systems, water reticulation, stormwater drainage and roads.
Khaya Tshunungwa: N Dip Eng (Civil)
Khaya Tshunungwa joined Malmon Developments in 2017 and holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering. He has more than 4 years’ experience in the implementation and design of civil engineering projects.
Khaya fulfils the role of junior engineer and facilitates the design of civil engineering infrastructure from concept phase to construction phase. He specializes in the design of water reticulation and roads infrastructure design.
Draughting
Vathiswa Peter
Vathiswa Peter joined Malmon Developments in 2016. She holds a Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) Specialization diploma obtained from CTU Training Solutions in 2014 and is acquiring more knowledge and experience in design and construction of Civil Engineering infrastructure. She is registered as an Affiliate Member with the South African Institute of Draughting (SAID).
Vathiswa fulfils the role of draftsperson and oversees that all drawings are up to standard in accordance with Civil Engineering criteria. She specializes in submission and distribution of As-builts, Engineering drawings and locality plans to City of Ekurhuleni, officials of GDHS and Contractors.
Administration
Sibongile Lephoto
Sibongile Lephoto Joined Malmon Developments in 2016 as an office administrator. She has accumulated 4 years’ experience in office administration, civil engineering project administration, tender processing, financial management and office management.
Candice Naidoo
Candice Naidoo joined Malmon Developments in 2019 as a company receptionist. She has five years of admin experience and completes her first as a receptionist in December 2019. Candice holds a Tendering qualification and mainly fulfils the following roles at Malmon: tendering processes, compiling tenders, co-ordinating and generating project time-sheets, events organization, and reception.
